Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Part-Time or On-Call Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used in our mulch yard operations.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on equipment like loaders, grinders, conveyors, and trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and greasing.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document repairs and maintenance completed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must be available for flexible hours, including occasional weekends and on-call shifts during busy seasons.
